Healthy Habits

It’s not about the Goal, not that Goal anyway!

The body is a great teacher, it lets us know what it needs, unfortunately it doesn’t always do this in a timely manner. So we can fill ourselves full of junk food for months without an immediate change in our body shape, but by the time those changes have started they are well in train and hard to stop overnight. In the same way positive health changes can take a while to have effect, if we are focused on short-term goals then we can become disappointed. In this case it is important to focus on improving the process of what we do rather than focusing on short-term improvements. If we make healthy changes and stick to them then the benefits will follow, but focus on the changes themselves. In this way the goal should be about training well at the Gym or sticking to a walking routine rather than weight loss or strength gain. Improving the focus and direction of the training while bare it’s own fruit.
